Fitting in some all-important mother/daughter bonding time, Lily Collins and her mom Jill were spotted shopping in West Hollywood, CA on Sunday (October 2). The “Abduction” actress looked adorable in a black and tan dress with flats as she and her mother dearest strolled around the Melrose Trading Post. In a recent interview with Access Hollywood, Lily talked a bit about her role as Snow White in the upcoming “The Brothers Grimm: Snow White,” and her co-star, Julia Roberts, who is playing the Evil Queen. Of working with Julia, Collins told, “Everyone loves that Julia smile and laugh and she maintains that, but in such this creepy eerie way that you don’t know if you love her or hate her." Lily added, "She’s brilliant and it’s been an honor. She’s so nice, she’s so classy, she’s just everything I had hoped she’d be.” They’ve kept their production under wraps until now, and Relativity Media has just released some new stills from their untitled “Snow White” project. In the pictures, stars Julia Roberts, Lily Collins, Armie Hammer, and Nathan Lane are all dressed in full character garb and looking fabulous. In a recent interview, Lily shared that working alongside Ms. Roberts in the film was a little overwhelming at times. "She gave me goosebumps. She played the Evil Queen brilliantly. You forget that's really Julia because she's so good. Off camera, she's so down to earth and so sweet. We'd be shooting and she's being extremely horrible to me [in character] and once they yell cut, the first thing she says to me, 'Are you okay? I'm sorry, I hate being mean to you.'" "She's someone that I've looked up to forever, and to be able to be in a scene with her and watch her work is such an honor. She's so funny and she really brings an energy to the set unlike anything I've seen." In January, Lily will begin a journalism course at the University of Southern California's school of communications, right at home in LA. ?It's a really hard programme to get into and I'm so excited about it,? she says. ?We're remodelling my grandmother's flat at the moment (she passed away last year) so I can live there, just a couple blocks from the campus.? Another thing Lily is excited about is that the Genesis reunion tour is arriving in LA on the night that we meet. ?I'm so close to the other Genesis kids ? to Mike Rutherford's son Harry, who's just a year and a half older than me, and to Tony Banks's kids,? she says. ?And Joely and Simon will be in town for it too. I can't wait! Most of all, I adore spending time with Dad and getting to see him up there on stage." ?I do like the Genesis music,? she says diplomatically, adding, ?but it's probably not something I would just turn on and chill out to. Some of it's on my iPod, and I'll listen occasionally, but I just didn't grow up with it. It was before my time.? Lily has strong memories, however, of her father's post-Genesis solo career, when she, as a little girl, would spend most of the year on tour with him. ?He was at the height of his fame when I was little,? she recalls, ?so I got so used to people chanting and screaming. I think I first realised he was someone other than just 'Dad' when we were at the supermarket and people would stop him. I'd think, 'They recognise dad? That's weird.' He was always just Dad to me.?
