Over and Over they go you will see that they have sex (including same sex relations), take drugs, kill people, steal, lie, cheat and show everyone how to be obnoxious, rude and downright careless for each other and wait for it they either get a stern talking to after saying sorry and do it all over again and they all this aired at 7PM every Monday to Friday….. No wonder our teenagers are having more sex and drugs and pretending to be bi-sexual on MySpace with their friends when they are only 13 years old. Sure some guys go to jail and some sort of moral story is told. But it's a total disgrace when 50% of the audience is less than 16 years of age without any parental supervision. If we just talk about the show you will see clearly that they are reading an auto-cue from the side and while some try to act others are just plain wooden at best. We had a crash scene that a person is blinded…. Due to his past terrors … sorry guys but this has been done on so many shows that it's not funny and you know what, I give it a month before he gains his sight again just like Desperate housewives. I can understand older people wanting to watch this soap and I can understand they can get over the ridiculous plots that make everyone sleep with everyone just like "the days of our lives" but I cannot understand how the TV Commission allows this to be on the time slot in Australia when it influence so many of today's youth. Ask yourself this question, how many other countries would allow this show in free to air TV before 8:30pm? Home and Away is the only soap I like. It's miles better than our own ones which are just full of people arguing and misery piled on misery. Bad things happen in Summer Bay but it's so sunny and cheerful nobody really cares. I'm glad to see Channel 5 are making it available online, though it's nowhere near as good as it used to be. The characters can't match the classic early ones like Bobby with lines like "rack off flathead!" but it's still good. I can understand people not liking this much, the stories aren't great and the acting is beyond wooden but it's a nice bit of escapism and a beautiful place to visit for 25 minutes. It's not a masterpiece of television but it keeps a flaming galah like me happy. She made her debut on Australian television screens as a pig Latin speaking swamp girl — but now it appears Isabel Lucas has found her voice. The former Home and Away star this morning revealed she was keen to return to the shores of Japan for another chapter of her anti-whaling crusade. The blonde beauty even welcomed the idea of being arrested. "It could be a positive thing," Lucas told the TODAY show. "We do risk being arrested … we were aware of that being a possibility when we were there. "But if we up the ante and have a lot more support … then it's unlikely they will want to be drawing more attention to the issue. "We're assessing the situation of the different possibilities of what might happen if we go back in February next year." The 22-year-old said in Japan the movement against whaling was gaining momentum, with a recent poll showing that around 70 percent of the population opposed it. Lucas also revealed that she and other protesters wrapped their passports in plastic slips and hid them in their wetsuits when they staged a pre-dawn protest against fisherman near the coastal town of Taiji in October this year. "They (the fishermen) kept revving their engines and driving towards us," the Logie award-winning actress said at the time. "We couldn't save these whales, but hopefully shining the light on their deaths will save others." The Taiji area is a hotspot for fishermen notorious for using nets to herd pods of whales and their calves into a cove where they are slaughtered for their meat. An arrest warrant for Lucas and fellow protester Hayden Panettiere — star of US show Heroes — was issued in November for "interfering with international commerce". But Lucas remained undeterred by the warrant, telling Channel Seven's Today Tonight: "They can't do anything while we're in Australia." "If we do go back to Japan there's the risk we would be arrested at the airport." Lucas made her debut on Australian screens as Tasha Andrews on Home and Away — a young girl who only spoke pig Latin before being taught to live with common people.

"I used to live in Kakadu, which is in Jabiru," Isabel Lucas announces outside the Griffith Observatory in the Hollywood Hills. Although we've met here to go hiking, the 24-year-old actress speaks the gibberish-sounding place names so nonchalantly that it's momentarily plausible that she's referring to a distant planet and has chosen the observatory to make contact. Lucas is an earthling—and an earthy one at that—born and raised in Melbourne (with stints in Queensland, Switzerland, and Australia's Northern Territory), which means she's not an alien in the extraterrestrial sense. She is, however, way out there. "Quirky" by her own admission, she says she likes to hike in Griffith Park because of the "energy of the trees and air." At the sight of an overturned trash can, she launches into a lengthy discourse on the differences between jackals and dingoes. And though there's an outstanding arrest warrant for her in Japan (the result of an anti-whaling protest she participated in), Lucas seems entirely unconcerned about the fact that the world premiere of her new film, Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen, will be held in Tokyo. "Oh," she says, "it's quite unlikely I'll be arrested." Kakadu, it turns out, is an Aboriginal community where Lucas lived for a year during her seminomadic, bohemian childhood. "My best friend was Aboriginal," Lucas says. "She taught me about 'bush tucker'—the food of the land, the different things you could eat if you got lost in the bush, like grasses and berries. There's this tree called the billygoat plum—the fruit is quite nice. It'd be a whole different story here. I don't recognize any of these plants," she adds, surveying the local foliage. In fact, Lucas is dressed as if she's never been on a hike in her life—a faded green eggs and ham T-shirt, wide-leg jeans, and green suede ankle boots. Her style is hippie-chic, but her face is pure Swiss Miss, a look she owes to her mother. "Mom spoke to us in Swiss when we were little," she says—she calls the "singsongy" German dialect her first language. Tourists on the trail don't give her a second glance. If they were Australian, however, they might recognize her from the megapopular soap Home and Away. If they were avid gossip-rag readers, they might peg her as Entourage star Adrian Grenier's ex-girlfriend, or as Transformers costar Shia LaBeouf's mystery passenger when he flipped his truck and was cited for DUI last year (no charges were ultimately filed). The tabloids did their best to link her breakup with Grenier to a relationship with LaBeouf. "I don't think it's unusual to spend time with your castmate," she says. "People instantly assume you can't have a platonic friendship with someone of the opposite sex. I think this may be specific to L.A.—or America." What's clear is that Lucas, who is single, is as unrestrained in her affection for LaBeouf as she is in most things. "He's got an awesome sense of humor and a big heart," she says. "He's got a lot to give. A really interesting character. And he's also very passionate."

A native of Melbourne, Victoria, glamorous Aussie actress Isabel Lucas ascended to fame on the crest of her portrayal of Tasha Andrews in the long-running, teen-oriented Australian soap Home and Away (1988); she signed with the program in 2003. Like numerous colleagues from the Australian silver screen, Lucas eventually made the crossover to Hollywood stardom, first with a U.S.-Australian co-production of the vampire outing Daybreakers (starring fellow countryman Sam_Neill, in addition to A-listers Ethan_Hawke and Willem_Dafoe) and then with a substantial role in the effects-heavy Hollywood opus Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen (2009). Nathan Southern, Rovi. Those people who, like me, live in Australia should know that Channel 7 is currently screening the older episodes of "Home and Away" (otherwise known as "Home and Away, The Early Years) in addition to the new ones. I would recommend watching these older episodes (which, at the time of my writing this, go all the way back to 1989), but forgetting about the current ones. The earlier episodes of "Home and Away" seem a lot fresher (probably because all of the storylines had only been recycled a few times, rather than fifty or so which is no doubt the case by now), and also give the viewer a chance to laugh at all of the horrible late '80s fads and fashions depicted in them (I remember one earlier episode, for example, which had Carly wearing a T-shirt with the message "Twenty Decades Old" on it; God, that is sooooooooooooo 1988!). The characters also seem a lot more interesting A friend of mine once said that the series really suffered when that lovable pair of dimwits Lance and Martin left it; he may well have been right. Although I have attempted to watch the newer episodes of "Home and Away" on various occasions, I came to the sad conclusion that I was simply killing too many brain cells each time I did this, so have since given up on them. From what I have heard from other people who still watch the current episodes, I have gathered that these episodes have two glaring faults ie: 1) the producers are more concerned with ISSUES these days than simply telling a story. 2) the show is now filled with annoying fifteen year-olds who are always wanting to hop into bed with each other ie it's trying to become the Australian version of "Dawson's Creek" (another lame show). Lets start off with the line "Im Sorry", yes, this is the most overused line in the whole show. People get thick with each other, say I'm sorry, everything is hunky dory again, and then it all starts again, over, and over, and over, and over again. Second off, the story lines are mind boggling, absolutely, atrocious. Each character in the whole show has to be the most unluckiest person in the world, being cheated on, being accused of murder, get pregnant by someone who eventually leaves town, and then finally death, or just leaves anyway because his/her business contract has expired after 2 years. 1 of these things has happened to at least all the character on the show. And the drinking problem storyline is still there, yup, after 22 years, its still there. And you know what makes me really sick is that each character has to stick their nose in to other peoples business, and the other person gladly tells them everything thats happening in their life, while the other person says "well if there's anything i can do,let me know" if it was me,id tell them to mind their own go damn business. Each person is one and the same. It is so unreal that this programme gets funding. This is the perfect example of bad television, it is juvenile, the female adults are either pure soccer mom stereotypes, or just act like teenagers themselves. Its a disgrace.

Isabel was born in Melbourne, Australia. Her father is Australian and her mother is Swiss. When she was age 6, her family moved to Switzerland for a year. They moved back to Melbourne for a while before moving to a very small mining town in the Northern Territory (population 1,000). Along with her sister, she attended the Jabiru Area School, which included both white and Aboriginal children. Isabel was always involved in drama during her time at school. She went on to study drama at the Victorian College of Arts and Queensland University of Technology. She never auditioned for roles until she was discovered by her agent in 2002. She auditioned for the part of Kit Hunter on "Home and Away" (1988). They felt she wasn't right for the part but were sufficiently impressed and created a new role for her, Tasha. She spent 3 years playing her first television role and won a Logie Award (for new popular talent) for her performance. In 2008, she moved to Los Angeles. Her breakthrough role came in Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen (2009). Is of Swiss origin on her mother's side. She speaks French and German in addition to her native English. Received the Australian TV Week Logie Award for Best New Talent (April 18, 2004). Is a big animal lover. She has lots of animals on her family's acreage in North Queensland, including birds, guinea pigs, horses, dogs and cats. Along with other protesters (including "Heroes" (2006/II) star Hayden Panettiere), she paddled out on surfboards to a pod of dolphins off the coast of Japan to protest the killing of dolphins on Thursday 1st of November 2007. Was involved in a car crash with Shia LaBeouf in July 2008. Lucas escaped with only scratches and bruises but LeBeouf was left with a crushed hand needing extensive surgery. LeBeouf's car had been hit by another vehicle traveling at 70mph and running a red light. Isabel was extremely passionate about her acting, and attended pro workshop acting classes at Screenwise Film & TV School for actors in Sydney Australia before taking her career to the States. Ranked #84 in the 2011 FHM (Australia) list of "100 Sexiest Women in the World". She has been a keen horse rider from the age of 10 and has competed in dressage and show jumping. Isabel Lucas (born 29 January 1985) is an Australian actress and model perhaps best known for her role as Tasha Andrews on the Australian television soap opera Home and Away (2003–2006). Lucas moved to Los Angeles in early 2008 and has since been featured in film and television projects including Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen, The Pacific and Daybreakers.Lucas was born in Melbourne. As a child, Lucas lived in Cairns, Queensland. She also lived in Switzerland and Kakadu, in the Northern Territory. She has a Swiss mother and an Australian father and speaks German and French in addition to her native English. Lucas went to St. Monica's College in Cairns, Queensland, Australia. Lucas enrolled in the Victorian College of Arts but had never pursued commercial roles. Sharron Meissner, a Sydney talent agent suggests she 'discovered' Lucas strolling on the beach at Port Douglas (whilst the meeting was actually arranged). She auditioned for the role of Kit Hunter in Home and Away (now played by Amy Mizzi); although the producer of the show, Julie McGauran, felt that role was not right for Isabel, she was sufficiently impressed to have a new character, Tasha Andrews, created for her. Lucas won a Logie Award (for new popular talent) for her performance on the program. Playing Tasha Andrews on Home and Away was Lucas' first television role. She appeared in an American television commercial for Crest toothpaste. Lucas was cast as Gwen in the Steven Spielberg World War II miniseries, The Pacific. She appeared in Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen as Alice. Reports[specify] suggested that although assigned to the William Morris Talent Agency in Los Angeles through the auspices of Meissner Management, Lucas obtained the role of Alice in her native Australia before moving permanently to America. It has been claimed that Lucas was handpicked by Steven Spielberg. Michael Bay, director and producer of Transformers, has denied that Spielberg influenced the decision to cast her. Her subsequent theatrical releases included Daybreakers (8 January 2010) and Red Dawn (TBA). In 2010, Lucas appeared in an advertisement for Daylesford tourism. In October 2007, Lucas was part of a group of thirty people from Surfers for Cetaceans, including American actress Hayden Panettiere, surfers David Rastovich and Vaya Phrachanh who took part in a protest against dolphin hunting drive in Taiji, Wakayama, Japan. The group paddled out on surfboards to the dolphins to attempt to stop the hunt, but they were forced to turn around after being intercepted by one of the fishing boats. They drove straight to Osaka airport and left the country to avoid being arrested for trespassing by the Japanese police. There is still an outstanding arrest warrant for Lucas in Japan. Many Japanese consider this kind of act as an attack on their culture. In a news interview, Lucas stated that this was for purely economic reasons, claiming polls show that 70% of Japanese oppose whaling. Taiji's fishery cooperative union argues that these protesters "continue willfully to distort the facts about this fishery" and that the protesters' agendas are "based neither on international law nor on science but rather on emotion for economic self-interest." Lucas is a spokesperson for the Australian National Breast Cancer Foundation, and supports many organisations including, World Vision, The Humour Foundation, Women Against Violence, Oxfam Community Aid Abroad, Global Green Plan, Save the Whales Again. Lucas is a vegetarian. Lucas was nominated as one of Australia’s Sexiest Vegetarian Celebrities on PETAAsiaPacific.com for 2010.
