THE SCORPION KING star KELLY HU completed the Honolulu marathon in her native Hawaii last month (DEC06), and has the cast and crew of her new TV show to thank for getting her past the finishing line. The actress finished the race in just under five hours, and admits she can't believe how motivating and generous her friends on the set of US medical comedy IN CASE OF EMERGENCY were while she was in training. She says, "They were all so incredibly supportive. Besides letting me off from work so that I could leave to go to Honolulu early so I could run the marathon, they also helped me with sponsorship. At the age of fifteen, hoping to give an early boost to her modeling career, Kelly entered the Miss Teen Hawaii pageant. The results exceeded even Kelly's expectations, as she went on to win the pageant and qualify for the national competition. Kelly Ann Hu (born February 13, 1968) is an American actress and former fashion model. She was Miss Teen USA 1985 and Miss Hawaii USA 1993. Kelly is a fourth-generation American with Chinese-Filipino-Hawaiian and English ancestry.
